About the Role
Management of the production site in Israel, including professional and managerial responsibility for approximately 140 employees and a variety of departments: Production, Logistics, Quality Assurance, Operational Excellence (ELS), Safety (EHS), Procurement, Maintenance, and Infrastructure.
Member of the management team at Avery Dennison Israel and participant in global forums.
Matrix management of the production site in China.
Reports to the VP of Operations and Supply Chain in Europe and the CEO of Israel.
What does the role entail?
Leading the Operations Division to meet depreciation, output, and productivity targets.
Developing an annual work and investment plan and managing the budget.
Leading and mentoring department managers (direct management of 13 managers).
Implementing new equipment, defining work processes, and line infrastructure.
Cross-functional work in Israel and abroad (R&D, Engineering, Finance, and HR).
Who is this role for?
We are looking for a leader, a people person, with “broad shoulders,” the ability to work under pressure (24/7 operations), and a broad systemic perspective, who knows how to bridge the gap between the field and the office.
Job requirements:
Education: Industrial and Management Engineering / Chemistry / Biotechnology / Mechanical Engineering.
Experience: Previous experience as a site manager or VP of Operations in an industrial company – required.
Background: Experience leading a manufacturing site, developing work plans and investment strategies, and implementing operational excellence processes.
English: Very high proficiency (speaking, writing, and reading).
Significant advantage: Experience in a global company and in the process/chemical/plastics industry.
