Building end-to-end machining processes: defining a sequence of operations, selecting machining strategies, fixtures/fixtures, and cutting tools
Ongoing engineering support for production lines: solving process problems, improving quality, shortening standardization times and reducing rejects
Conducting investigations into malfunctions/abnormalities and implementing corrective and preventive actions
Working together in the field with operators/supervisors and quality inspectors, and leading collaborations with the engineering team.
Working with information systems and documenting processes in accordance with procedures
Mandatory requirements
Mechanical engineering education – mandatory
At least 5 years of experience as a production engineer/technologist in a machining environment – required
Very good familiarity with machining and proven ability to build machining processes
Full control over SolidWorks
Full control over all Office and Priority applications
Very high level of blueprint reading ability
Very good level of English, including technical English
Ability to think analytically, be orderly and organized, conduct research and lead problem solving
Experience working in a multi-interface environment (production/quality/engineering) and leading process improvements
Familiarity with measurement and quality control systems, including working with CMM
